About the artwork.
A stand-out in contemporary ceramic sculpture, Lindsay Pichaske creates compelling creatures that offer contemplation across species. She combines unusual materials—such as human hair, flocking, molted feathers, charcoal, foam, sequins, monofilament, wax, artificial flower petals, string, and rope—with low-fired ceramics to create lifelike skins.
