Where are the Racine Art Museum locations?
Racine Art Museum has two locations: RAM Downtown in the heart of downtown Racine and RAM Wustum, located in a historic residential neighborhood. Both sites are a short drive from each other and offer unique exhibitions and experiences.
What is the difference between RAM Downtown and RAM Wustum?
RAM Downtown focuses on contemporary craft and rotating exhibitions featuring national and international artists. RAM Wustum offers a more intimate setting with exhibitions, art classes, and community programs. Together, they provide a full spectrum of art experiences for visitors of all ages.
What are the hours and admission fees for visiting RAM?
RAM Downtown is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with extended hours on Thursday until 8:00 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. RAM Wustum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Admission at RAM Downtown is $15 for adults and $10 for students, seniors (62+), and veterans (with valid ID), while children 12 and under, Racine County residents (with valid ID), RAM members, NARM/ROAM/AAM members, and active-duty military receive free admission. Admission at RAM Wustum is always free.
Select special exhibitions and events may require separate admission, which is free for RAM members.
Is parking available at Racine Art Museum locations?
Yes, parking is available near both RAM Downtown and RAM Wustum. RAM Downtown offers convenient paid street parking and nearby public lots, while RAM Wustum has a dedicated free parking area on-site. Visitors should check local signage for any parking restrictions.
Does Racine Art Museum have a partnership with Hotel Verdant?
Yes, we have a partnership with Hotel Verdant! Visitors can access special room discounts and promotional offers through this partnership when planning their stay. Please note that artwork displayed at Hotel Verdant is not part of RAM’s permanent collection.

Is the Racine Art Museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Both RAM Downtown and RAM Wustum welcome wheelchairs, electric mobility scooters, and mobility devices. Manual wheelchairs are also available to borrow at reception on a first-come, first-served basis.
Does the Racine Art Museum have elevators?
RAM Downtown has accessible elevators connecting the museum galleries and public spaces. Please note that RAM Wustum does not have an elevator, but second-floor artwork can be viewed on a monitor in the first-floor galleries.
Are service animals allowed at RAM and Wustum?
Yes. Service animals and service animals-in-training are welcome at both museum locations when under the handler’s control at all times.

Visitors are asked to help protect the artwork by following museum guidelines, including no touching artwork, no running in galleries, and respecting staff, volunteers, and other guests.
Can I bring food or drinks into the RAM museum galleries?
No. Food and drinks, including water bottles, are not allowed inside the galleries at RAM or Wustum. Reception staff can assist with storing items during your visit.
Are children allowed at RAM Downtown and RAM Wustum?
Yes. Children are welcome at both museums, but guests under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Can I bring a backpack or a large bag into the Racine Art Museum?
Large bags and backpacks should be left with the reception staff before entering the galleries. Small diaper bags and medical bags are permitted.
What behaviors are prohibited inside the Racine Art Museum?
For the safety of guests and artwork, visitors may not smoke, vape, roughhouse, enter restricted areas, or engage in threatening or disruptive behavior while visiting the museum.
