About the artwork.
In the 1930s, multi-media artist Cherry Barr Jerry met and married Sylvester Jerry, who would become the first Director of the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts (now RAM Wustum). For 28 years, she taught adult and children’s art classes at Wustum. Cherry Jerry’s love of the natural world is reflected in landscape vistas in addition to drawings like The Collector in which she offers a detailed close-up of a transitory moment.
