About the artwork.

Jeannette Kastenberg was the sole designer of Jeanette for St. Martin until the early 1990s, when developments in art to wear and the tastes of the fashion world began to overlap. She is known for her limited-edition sequin jackets, as well as her use of colorful embroidery. The Abstract is inspired by the imagery of Henri Matisse’s 1947 work on paper “Le cheval l’eciyere et le clown (The Horse, The Rider, and The Clown).”
