About the artwork.
Kevin O’Dwyer’s teapot, On the Crest of a Wave, stems from his training as a metalsmith and his desire to use a functional form to create something sculptural. After a time restoring a fair amount of silver antiques while in Savannah, Georgia, O’Dwyer began to create work that reflected his interests in Irish metalwork, Art Nouveau and Art deco style, and architectural form.
