About the artwork.
Bonnie Seeman creates bowls and teapots that appear to be human and animal hybrids. To a plant form that contains structures resembling cellulose tissue, bone, and other human body traits, such as that of this teapot, she adds the disquieting element of glass insects created by Micah Evans. Together, they invesigate cycles of life and death, tempting the boundary between beautiful and grotesque.
