About the artwork.
Peninsula Point Morning reflects Amy Arntson’s lifelong interest in, and familiarity with, the Great Lakes. Emerita Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Arntson has traveled extensively and uses direct observation—sketches and photographs of places she visits—as the basis for her work. Frequently included in RAM’s Wustum Museum’s Watercolor Wisconsin exhibitions, Arntson is currently represented in RAMs collection by two watercolor pieces.
