About the artwork.
Trained as an artist, Earl Pardon used enamel like paint—combining it with silver, wood, shells, semi-precious stones, and other materials to make bold, inventive jewelry. This necklace and earring set reflects how Pardon linked formal, compositional concerns to the concept of wearability. As he stated, “I treat jewelry like I would a painting. They are color statements more than anything else.”
