About the artwork.
Nancy Worden’s Kids in Snow is from a jewelry series that incorporated found family photography. Inspired by a visit with a cousin and a journey through an old family photo album, she used the imagery to investigate human behavior, stating: “People will smile for a camera because that is what is expected of them, regardless of how they’re feeling at that moment. I’m interested in the stories behind the smiles.”
