Covered in sgrafitto drawings, works such as this Hand Teapot explore the dynamics of humans and animals, consumption (here literal as well as figural), and cycles of life and death. Cleverly, Regan has almost hidden the teapot lid as a thumbnail and the interior space of the upturned shell becomes the spout.
