About the artwork.

Woodworker Tom Rauschke works collaboratively with his wife, fiber artist Kaaren Wiken. Though Wiken also creates large-scale metal sculpture, these two Wisconsin artists are well-known for their lathe-turned vessels which highlight form over function and incorporate richly detailed miniature embroidery—often in the form of brooches that can be removed and worn, such as the owl of this Forest Goblet.
