About the artwork.
Former head of the Department of Textile Design at Lodz, Poland’s Academy of Fine Arts, Andrzej Rajch limited his use of color as he investigated the potential of fabric and thread and explored the boundaries of materials. With Fale (Waves), a large-scale woven wall work, Rajch has created an optical illusion that could be read as ripples in fabric, folds in paper, or waves on an ocean.
