About the artwork.
Canadian artist Karen Dahl is well-known for her trompe l’oeil ceramic sculptures that confound viewers. Dahl’s works appear to be assorted objects arranged into groupings. In reality, they are life-size interpretations of commonplace objects crafted with clay. Dahl references her own life narrative in the works through the incorporation of meaningful objects like books for her love of reading, such as those in Buel to E.
