Overview
8 Weeks
Instructor/Artist: Jeff Shawhan
Designed for both beginning and advanced potters, this class covers the fundamentals of wheel throwing along with techniques for creating a variety of functional and artistic forms.
Beginners will build confidence through step-by-step instruction, while returning students can refine their skills, explore new forms, and receive guidance and support. Whether making a bowl for the first time or perfecting a favorite technique, students will enjoy a supportive studio environment that encourages creativity and growth.
Clay, glazes, and firings are included in the class fees.
RAM members with a Senior or Individual membership receive discounted pricing only for their own class registrations. Member discounts cannot be applied to registrations for family members or friends. To receive discounted pricing for multiple household members, a Family/Dual membership or higher is required. Registrants who do not meet membership eligibility will be required to pay the remaining balance before the class begins.
Online registration closes four days before class begins. After that, call RAM’s Wustum Museum at 262.636.9177 to confirm availability.
Class cancellations can happen if enrollment minimums are not met three days prior to the first class. If a class is canceled by the museum, registered participants will be notified by phone or email, and any applicable refund will be processed.
If a student cancels two or more days before the first class, a refund will be issued less a 10% processing fee. Cancellations made the day before or the day of the first class are not eligible for a refund and the registration fee will be forfeited. In some cases, class fees may be credited toward a future class at the museum’s discretion.
