Premiering during the inaugural In/Between multi-arts festival, Amanda Browder’s large-scale installation Zig and Zag weaves RAM’s acrylic-paneled façade with multi-colored fabric, offering a new perspective on a familiar building.

Through both traditional and experimental approaches, Wood You Believe It? brings together furniture, art jewelry, sculpture, and wall-hanging works from RAM’s permanent collection to explore the wide range of possibilities that emerge when paint meets wood.

By all accounts, Takaezu’s holdings at RAM comprise the largest collection of her work in a North American institution but, most importantly, they reflect a singular voice who helped expand the potential of a material not always associated with artistic vision.
